Night Photography : Canon 5D With EF17-35mm F2.8L Lens

Getting out and doing a spot of night photography can often be very rewarding and is something I do enjoy given half the chance to do it.

This collection of photos were taken in Beverley in Hengate Gardens. There was a lot of ambient light about, a lamppost and the flood lights on the monument were quite useful.

For this night photography project I used a Remote Shutter Release, a and nice wide lens, the EF17-35mm F2.8L USM and a tripod!

This image has not go through Photoshop, it was taken in RAW and then converted using the Cannon software. The white balance was changed and quite a lot of the saturation taken out.

The second image is done using the same set up, this time most of the light is coming from behind the subject to create a different sort of effect.

Again the image only required a few slight changes to white balance and some of the saturation reducing with the Canon software.
