Peli Case 1510 : Worth Every Penny And Some

Peli Case 1510 : Worth Every Penny And SomeA Peli Case 1510 proved to be the perfect answer to the problem I have been facing of carting my kit around between jobs.

After a little bit of research and some help from a fellow photographer I settled on a Peli Case 1510 to use as my main bag for my big lens and a couple of bodies.

This solid case complete with wheels and strong handles has made my life so much easier. I have to say I was very surprised just how much gear I go into a case of this size.

What I have managed to get inside the Peli Case 1510

  • Canon EOS 1D Mark IV
  • Canon EOS 1D Mark III
  • Canon 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM
  • Canon 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM
  • Canon EF24-105mm f4L
  • Canon 430 EX II Speedlite
  • 72mm Rubber Lens Hood
  • Lens Blower / cleaning cloth
  • Canon EF 2x II Extender

Getting all this gear into a Peli Case 1510 surprised me but it fits, just about. I have a stash a few things under the 400mm lens but with a bit of careful packing you can get plenty of stuff in there.

My first impressions of the Peli Case 1510 are very good, it is easy to move about and doubles up as a seat. My only complaint is I cannot get a monopod in it as well but it really is no big deal.

The build quality of the Peli Case 1510 is amazing, reviews and write ups all over the internet say how good these cases are and now I know why.

My Peli Case 1510 came with the dividers and a foam insert in the lid, I doubt very much I would be able to use the lid organiser as by the time you squeeze the Canon 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM inside there is not a lot of room to play with.

This is most certainly one of the best purchases I have ever made and I also feel totally assured it will protect all my kit from water, dust and impacts when I am out on location shooting football for example.
