Canon EF24-105mm f4L : A few winter morning pictures taken using a Canon EF24-105mm f4L IS USM. The lens was mounted to a Canon EOS 1D Mark III with the pictures being taken in Beverley and Hull. It was bitterly cold this morning with plenty of frost everywhere. When I woke up I found my car totally covered in ice so took a few pictures to share on Beverley Photographer. Canon EF 2x II Extender : Sports Photography, Shooting Cricket

This weekend I have a lot more success shooting cricket with a Canon EF 2x II Extender attached to Canon EF400mm F2.8L USM lens. For a while now I have been really struggling to get any sort of half-decent image with a Canon EF 2x II Extender, especially when trying to use manual exposure. Prime Lens : Fast Prime Lens On A Budget

As a keen fan of using a prime lens over a telephoto / zoom lens I made a purchase on eBay this week picking up a manual lens for less than £20. What I bought was a 135mm F3.5 Tele Prime Lens that has been converted to fit a Canon DSLR. This is the cheapest lens I have ever bought or own so was not expecting much from it. Canon EOS 5D Mark II Long Exposure Pictures By The River Hull

This shot was taken on the River Hull on a chilly evening, again with no tripod so the camera, a Canon EOS 5D Mark II was placed against something steady. The idea of taking pictures of moving water is quite an appealing one to me but I do not often get the time, or I should say make the time to go out and just do it. Canon EF400mm F2.8L USM: Shooting Power Boat Racing

This was the first time I shot power boat racing and really got to use a Canon EF400mm F2.8L USM as with all news things, there were a few issues to iron out. Shooting sports I now use a Canon EF300mm F2.8L USM mounted to a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and sometimes use a Canon EF 2x II Extender. Canon EF 15mm F2.8 Fisheye Fisheye was the lens of choice over the weekend as I got to shoot in a an awarding winning venue, the Asylum Club in Hull. LENSBABY : Creative Shooting With The Lensbaby 2

Creative photography is certainly a lot easier with a Lensbaby attached to the camera as I found out after taking delivery of a Lensbaby 2. Although it is a lens, I think the Lensbaby is more of an accessories, something that is small and easy to carry around that will give any photographer a different type of shot.
