Shooting Professional Boxing With a Sigma 30mm f1.4

Boxing remains one of the sports I really enjoy photographing and tend to use my Sigma 30mm f1.4 EX DC HSM and also a Canon EF 85mm f1.8 USM The Sigma 30mm f1.4 provides me quite a wide view of the action while the Canon EF 85mm f1.8 USM allows me to get closer tighter shots of the fighters in the ring. Shooting with these two prime lenses, there are obvious issues, I cannot zoom and should the fighter’s mover to the other side of the ring the then Sigma 30mm f1.4 does not offer the reach, while same is true when using Canon EF 85mm f1.8 USM when the boxers move closer to you. Canon EF 15mm F2.8 Fisheye Fisheye was the lens of choice over the weekend as I got to shoot in a an awarding winning venue, the Asylum Club in Hull. The club had plenty going on and a lots of coloured lights, lasers and smoke not to mention over a thousand people inside partying. with so many visual it was a great place to try out new things and really express myself through taking different sorts of pictures than I have been used to. Sigma 30mm f1.4 EX DC HSM lens when mounted on my Canon camera has become one of the most used lens in my bag and something I always take to every job photography I go out on. The Sigma 30mm f1.4 EX DC HSM is my go to lens when I am shooting in number of different situations which require the camera to work fast when there is little ambient light and need to get the pictures without thumping up the ISO on my camera. Flash off the camera, finally I took my flash off, I have owned the Speedliter’s Handbook by Syl Arena for a while but I finally put some of his ideas into practice. I was shooting a music night one of the local pubs in Beverley. The room was quite light but where the performers were was not so bright at all. If there is one lens any one with Canon EOS camera should buy it is a one of their 50mm prime lens and the one I use is the Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM Lens. Very small and lightweight the Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM Lens offers great versatility and is something I tend to use when just going for a walk. When I purchased my first camera, I went for a new one though over time, I have started to purchased used canon equipment instead. This weekend I have a lot more success shooting cricket with a Canon EF 2x II Extender attached to Canon EF400mm F2.8L USM lens. For a while now I have been really struggling to get any sort of half-decent image with a Canon EF 2x II Extender, especially when trying to use manual exposure. Last weekend, I found a sort of fix where I used P Mode to calculate the required exposure and then just changed the aperture.
