Last week I shared my experiences with using a Canon EF 2x II Extender with a Canon EF300mm F2.8L USM and the issues I faced. When I purchased my first camera, I went for a new one though over time, I have started to purchased used canon equipment instead. Given some back pain I chose to work with shorter lens while shooting the local sport a Canon 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM. Mainly I have been using a Canon EF400mm F2.8L USM lens in recent times so I gave up a lot of reach. To try and get some distance back I used a 1.4x converter for one of the games. Flash Photography : Shooting A Music Night With Off Camera Flash

Flash off the camera, finally I took my flash off, I have owned the Speedliter’s Handbook by Syl Arena for a while but I finally put some of his ideas into practice. I was shooting a music night one of the local pubs in Beverley. The room was quite light but where the performers were was not so bright at all. Canon EF 15mm F2.8 Fisheye: Shooting In A Night Club

Canon EF 15mm F2.8 Fisheye Fisheye was the lens of choice over the weekend as I got to shoot in a an awarding winning venue, the Asylum Club in Hull. Having looked into various systems for off camera flash I settled with the Yongnuo YN 622C as it seemed to offer everything I wanted at a very reasonable price. Sports Photography : Shooting Football With A Canon EF 400mm f2.8L USM

Canon EF 400mm F2.8L USM was the lens used for this sports photography shoot featuring Beverley Town Football Club and Sculcoates Amateurs. The Canon EF 400mm F2.8L USM was mounted to Canon EOS 1D Mark IV with exposure being set manually. For some time, I have been using the Canon EF 400mm f2.8L USM lens, mainly for cricket but more recently to shoot amateur and professional sport. For around a month I have been using the Yongnuo Compact Batter Pack SF-17 to provide faster recycling time with my speed lights. So far I have used the Yongnuo Compact Batter Pack SF-17 with a Canon 580 EX II and a Yongnuo YN565EX Speedlite and it works perfectly well with both. The Yongnuo Compact Batter Pack SF-17 is made from plastic and comes in a black pouch with a Velcro seal. Canon EOS 1D Mark III – Worth Every Penny

I have been using a Canon EOS 1D Mark III for about a month now and have s far enjoyed using the camera so much and despite it being an older model from the Canon EOS range it certainly still holds it own. This was an upgrade from a Canon EOS 1D Mark II which for nearly two years was my work horse when covering sporting fixtures like football and rugby either with Sigma 150-500mm or Canon 70-200 attached to the body.
