Arguably, the hardest type of sports photography I have done has to be swimming. As a sports photographer, I have been fortunate enough to shoot two swimming galas. Like all sports photography, the idea is to show the action and a where possible freeze the competing athlete in the shot at just the right moment. Shooting sports I now use a Canon EF300mm F2.8L USM mounted to a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and sometimes use a Canon EF 2x II Extender. Night Photography : Canon 5D With EF17-35mm F2.8L Lens

Getting out and doing a spot of night photography can often be very rewarding and is something I do enjoy given half the chance to do it. This collection of photos were taken in Beverley in Hengate Gardens. There was a lot of ambient light about, a lamppost and the flood lights on the monument were quite useful. LENSBABY : Creative Shooting With The Lensbaby 2

Creative photography is certainly a lot easier with a Lensbaby attached to the camera as I found out after taking delivery of a Lensbaby 2. Although it is a lens, I think the Lensbaby is more of an accessories, something that is small and easy to carry around that will give any photographer a different type of shot. This weekend I have a lot more success shooting cricket with a Canon EF 2x II Extender attached to Canon EF400mm F2.8L USM lens. For a while now I have been really struggling to get any sort of half-decent image with a Canon EF 2x II Extender, especially when trying to use manual exposure. Last week I shared my experiences with using a Canon EF 2x II Extender with a Canon EF300mm F2.8L USM and the issues I faced.
