LENSBABY : Creative Shooting With The Lensbaby 2

Creative photography is certainly a lot easier with a Lensbaby attached to the camera as I found out after taking delivery of a Lensbaby 2. Although it is a lens, I think the Lensbaby is more of an accessories, something that is small and easy to carry around that will give any photographer a different type of shot. Going Back to a Shorter Lens For Shooting Sport

Given some back pain I chose to work with shorter lens while shooting the local sport a Canon 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM. Mainly I have been using a Canon EF400mm F2.8L USM lens in recent times so I gave up a lot of reach. To try and get some distance back I used a 1.4x converter for one of the games. Speedliters Handbook is a book that I discovered by pure chance after browsing the Internet why studying off camera flash techniques. By Syl Arena the Speedliters Handbook is geared up for Canon shooters giving very good pointers on how to get the most out of your speedlites. Shooting sports I now use a Canon EF300mm F2.8L USM mounted to a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and sometimes use a Canon EF 2x II Extender. I have read many reports on the Internet about how they work but my experiences of using one are not very good to say the least. Night Photography : Canon 5D With EF17-35mm F2.8L Lens

Getting out and doing a spot of night photography can often be very rewarding and is something I do enjoy given half the chance to do it. This collection of photos were taken in Beverley in Hengate Gardens. There was a lot of ambient light about, a lamppost and the flood lights on the monument were quite useful. For this night photography project I used a Hahnel HRC 280 Remote Shutter Release, a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and nice wide lens, the EF17-35mm F2.8L USM and a tripod! Canon EF 15mm F2.8 Fisheye: Shooting In A Night Club

Canon EF 15mm F2.8 Fisheye Fisheye was the lens of choice over the weekend as I got to shoot in a an awarding winning venue, the Asylum Club in Hull. The club had plenty going on and a lots of coloured lights, lasers and smoke not to mention over a thousand people inside partying. with so many visual it was a great place to try out new things and really express myself through taking different sorts of pictures than I have been used to. Last week I shared my experiences with using a Canon EF 2x II Extender with a Canon EF300mm F2.8L USM and the issues I faced.
