Hahnel HRC 280 : Testing Out A Remote Trigger Switch

Having purchased a Hahnel HRC 280 Remote Shutter Release after losing my previous one, a Canon Remote Switch 80N3 so was unable to shoot long exposure pictures at night. Costing just less then £20 the Hahnel HRC 280 Remote Shutter Release is a fraction of the Canon’s own version and does exactly the same job. Canon EF 15mm F2.8 Fisheye Fisheye was the lens of choice over the weekend as I got to shoot in a an awarding winning venue, the Asylum Club in Hull. Yongnuo YN 622C is one of the newest products from Yongnuo that allows you to take your Speedlite off the camera while giving the photographer plenty of control through the camera’s menu. Having looked into various systems for off camera flash I settled with the Yongnuo YN 622C as it seemed to offer everything I wanted at a very reasonable price. Shooting sports I now use a Canon EF300mm F2.8L USM mounted to a Canon EOS 1D Mark IV and sometimes use a Canon EF 2x II Extender. I have read many reports on the Internet about how they work but my experiences of using one are not very good to say the least. Night Photography : Canon 5D With EF17-35mm F2.8L Lens

Getting out and doing a spot of night photography can often be very rewarding and is something I do enjoy given half the chance to do it. This collection of photos were taken in Beverley in Hengate Gardens. There was a lot of ambient light about, a lamppost and the flood lights on the monument were quite useful. Last week I shared my experiences with using a Canon EF 2x II Extender with a Canon EF300mm F2.8L USM and the issues I faced. Sports Photography : Shooting Football With A Canon EF 400mm f2.8L USM

Canon EF 400mm F2.8L USM was the lens used for this sports photography shoot featuring Beverley Town Football Club and Sculcoates Amateurs. The Canon EF 400mm F2.8L USM was mounted to Canon EOS 1D Mark IV with exposure being set manually. For some time, I have been using the Canon EF 400mm f2.8L USM lens, mainly for cricket but more recently to shoot amateur and professional sport.
