This weekend I have a lot more success shooting cricket with a Canon EF 2x II Extender attached to Canon EF400mm F2.8L USM lens. For a while now I have been really struggling to get any sort of half-decent image with a Canon EF 2x II Extender, especially when trying to use manual exposure. Taking Winter Morning Pictures With A Canon EF24-105mm f4L IS USM

Canon EF24-105mm f4L : A few winter morning pictures taken using a Canon EF24-105mm f4L IS USM. The lens was mounted to a Canon EOS 1D Mark III with the pictures being taken in Beverley and Hull. It was bitterly cold this morning with plenty of frost everywhere. When I woke up I found my car totally covered in ice so took a few pictures to share on Beverley Photographer. Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM The Lens To Buy

If there is one lens any one with Canon EOS camera should buy it is a one of their 50mm prime lens and the one I use is the Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM Lens. Very small and lightweight the Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM Lens offers great versatility and is something I tend to use when just going for a walk. Flash Photography : Shooting A Music Night With Off Camera Flash

Flash off the camera, finally I took my flash off, I have owned the Speedliter’s Handbook by Syl Arena for a while but I finally put some of his ideas into practice. I was shooting a music night one of the local pubs in Beverley. The room was quite light but where the performers were was not so bright at all. Canon EOS 1D Mark III – Worth Every Penny

I have been using a Canon EOS 1D Mark III for about a month now and have s far enjoyed using the camera so much and despite it being an older model from the Canon EOS range it certainly still holds it own. This was an upgrade from a Canon EOS 1D Mark II which for nearly two years was my work horse when covering sporting fixtures like football and rugby either with Sigma 150-500mm or Canon 70-200 attached to the body. Sports Photography With A Telephoto Lens

Sports Photography is something I do a lot of and one of the problems I found was trying to get a telephoto lens with a enough reach without needing to re-mortgaging my house. The system I use is Canon and in my time I have used the Canon EOS 40D, Canon EOS 7D, Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EOS 1D Mark II and the Canon EOS 1D Mark III. Speedlite Ezy Up Umbrella Softbox Review

Today I took delivery of a Speedlite Ezy Up Umbrella Softbox, which I purchase on eBay – view product – for just under £60. It arrived in no time, less than two days, which was a real plus and the main reason I purchased the Speedlite Ezy Up Umbrella Softbox softbox was that they said it was fast to set up. Speedliters Handbook is a book that I discovered by pure chance after browsing the Internet why studying off camera flash techniques. By Syl Arena the Speedliters Handbook is geared up for Canon shooters giving very good pointers on how to get the most out of your speedlites. Having purchased this book I like to think of the Speedliters Handbook as a manual that is far more user friendly then the booklet shipped with Speedlites. Last week I shared my experiences with using a Canon EF 2x II Extender with a Canon EF300mm F2.8L USM and the issues I faced.
